This is a bit overdue.
But I’m a busy man with various stuff to do. Like work, try to do push-ups so I can wear tank-tops, and make my wife watch Game of Thrones until she likes it. I’m hoping for a Stockholm like Syndrome to take effect. I NEED HER TO LOVE IT.
And speaking of wives…
Jessy became one!
A few weeks back, my amazingly good friend done got herself hitched, finally making an honest man out of Mr. Theo Fabel.
It was a fantastic evening. Jessy is half Brazilian so her super cool, totally non-english speaking family flew up for it DURING THE WORLD CUP. If that’s not true love, I don’t know what is.
They were all super fun and dressed awesome. I’ve never been kissed by so many old ladies in my life.
Speaking of ladies…
Jessy’s aunt and crew made all of the desserts and cake BY HAND. I cannot stress how beautiful these treats were. I almost didn’t want to eat them. It looked like something that woodland fairies would have made in their free-time while protecting a sleeping princess held in an oaken thrall.
That’s a thing right?
As Jessy is what some would call “Very Liberal”, I had a few notions that her wedding would be filled with free-range fair-trade organic orchid and saffron infused bio-degradable quinoa patties for food. But holy shit if the food served here wasn’t THE BEST I’ve ever had at any wedding ever.
Brazilian steakhouse style.
I ate Katie’s weight in Lamb and Sirloin.
I ate until I hated myself.
And then I ate some more.
But in all seriousness, I was overjoyed to see Jessy so happy. She looked beautiful, found herself a smart man with strong, tall genetics (the best kind), and put on an extremely classic and elegant wedding. Life is good when friends are this happy.
